Vague Clarities, full work

"XXXV

Will our life not be a tunnel between two vague clarities?

Or will it not be a clarity between two dark triangles?

Or will life not be a fish prepared to be a bird?"

- Pablo Neruda (excerpt translated by William O’Daly)

Upon Hearing | 2016 - ongoing

Upon Hearing: A Solo

a semi-improvisational solo adapted from the original dance work, 2017-ongoing

in which Hannah combines pre-rehearsed choreography with live improvisational choreography based on written stories provided by the audience on the night of performance. Hannah reads the stories for the first time on stage and creates new movement for each iteration of this work. The solo changes in direct response to those who are there to see it live.

Upon Hearing: A Solo presented at SAFEhouse for the Performing Arts as part of Dynamism Movement's Art Salon on March 14th, 2018.
